The collection for adults is comprised of popular and award-winning fiction and mysteries as well as nonfiction, biography, travel guides, self-improvement, cookbooks, and art books. We have some books in large print and a modest collection of fiction in Spanish. For children, we have books for every age, including picture books, storybooks, fiction and nonfiction, bilingual storybooks, and parenting resources. Our Teen Zone houses popular and classic books for teens and young adults.
The Library is a member of the Westchester Library System (WLS), a consortium of 38 public libraries in Westchester County that share materials. With a Bedford Hills Free Library card, you have access to materials from all the libraries and may pick up or return items from any location.
In addition to books, Bedford Hills Library offers audiobooks on CDs and films on DVDs for checkout. Popular print magazines and newspapers (including Consumer Reports, The New York Times, and Record Review) are housed in the Library’s Reading Room. Back issues of magazines are available for circulation.
Through WLS, your Bedford Hills Free Library card provides digital and streaming resources including audiobooks, films, music, databases, and magazines.
