Program Description
Event Details
Inspired by a Rockwell's children's book The All-Together Quilt, people of all ages (kids, dads & moms, grandparents, and others) are invited to meet the author/artist and discover fun ways to create a Community Quilt Project.
Participants will be guided in the process of crafting their unique fabric square, with many options available for all ages and levels of experience. Individual squares may reveal something about you, your family, or your heritage to share with your friends in the Bedford community. Adults may incorporate a sentimental fabric from an old dress or shirt, sew on appliques or objects, or affix a meaningful photo, kids might paint or glue shapes of favorite things, anyone may write words of inspiration.
After the workshop, the individual squares will be assembled into a community quilt for all to see in a public venue to be announced.
Materials are provided.
