Fine Book Discussion: Lady Tan’s Circle of Women

For Adults and Seniors, join us once a month at the Bedford Hills Community House to discuss popular fiction novels.

This month's selection is The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray.

An immersive historical novel inspired by the true story of a woman physician in 15th-century China. Tells the story of Tan Yunxian, a young woman born into a wealthy Chinese family in the 15th century who is raised by her grandmother, a skilled female physician, to become a doctor herself, defying societal expectations.
