Free to Read - Impulse by Ellen Hopkins

In sharp, searing free verse divided into two-page chapters, Hopkins portrays three teens—Vanessa, Tony, and Conner —who have just survived suicide attempts. Now, at the Aspen Springs residential center, they begin treatment, trapped in numb despair, resentful of their survival and disconnected from others. Each first-person account gradually uncovers dark secrets, delivering a raw and unflinching narrative.
