Nurture your child's love for nature and creativity in this expressive workshop. Inspired by the Library's native pollinator garden and map of plants, children learn the art of nature journaling by documenting their observations with drawings and reflections. We also introduce books provided by the library as resources to take home with their journals so they may continue to capture the beauty of the natural world in their neighborhood and imagination.

Jessica M. Colón, a bilingual educator, is the Founder and President of For the People and Kids, Inc. Previously, she was an Educator at The New York Botanical Garden's Edible Academy and was Museum Educator at the Bronx Children's Museum and Morris Jumel Mansion Museum.

This program is a collaboration with For the People and KIDS, a nonprofit organization that collaborates with local farms, gardens, and other groups to provide diverse, hands-on programs that empower community members of all ages.
